Location:Home> Cases> Posterior Crossbite
List of problems
• Crowded teeth, malalignment, severity of crowding: maxilla: 3mm, mandible: 5mm. • Upper and lower dental arch were misaligned. • Crossbite of some teeth: crossbite position: 16-46. • Class I deep bite of anterior teeth, Class III deep overjet, obvious labial inclination of upper anterior teeth. • Midline of upper and lower teeth was misaligned, with the maxilla turning a little bit to the left.
Treatment Objective
Fix posterior crossbite and crowded teeth, appropriately retract anterior teeth, and improve overbite and overjet of anterior teeth, align the teeth and finely adjust occlusion .
Orthodontic treatment plan
• Adopt non-extraction invisible orthodontics. • Coordinate the mandibular and maxillary arch, expand the arch properly, and add IPR to fix crowded teeth. • Appropriately intrude anterior teeth, improve overbite, retract anterior teeth and decrease overjet. • Adjust the midline, and eliminate posterior crossbite on the right. • Align the teeth and finely adjust occlusion.

Doctor's summary
It is relatively difficult to correct rotated teeth, attachments shall be designed to increase control over the teeth. There is difficulty in correcting posterior crossbite of adult patients. Occlusion shall be examined after correcting posterior crossbite, to avoid occlusal interference. Cooperation of patients during the orthodontic treatment process lays the groundwork for successful teeth alignment.
